This is an active multisport trip along one of the most impressive mountain ranges in all of Europe: the Dinaric Alps.

By kayak, foot, raft, canoe and cycle you will explore Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro and Slovenia.

Itinerary includes:

  • Adriatic Sea kayaking, Dubrovnik and Elaphiti Archipelago, Croatia
  • Hiking Montenegro’s Durmitor National Park, the gem of the Balkans
  • Rafting Montenegro’s spectacular, UNESCO protected, Tara River Canyon.
  • Exploring five-century-old Mostar City in Herzegovina, with world famous, UNESCO protected Old Bridge.
  • Canoeing translucent subterranean Trebizat River, Bosnia’s river with nine names.
  • Exploring charming Split, Croatia’s largest coastal town, home of the 1900-year-old Diocletian Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
  • Cycle the trails of Krka River National Park, famous for its fantastic karst formations and travertine waterfalls.
  • Kayaking the magnificent clear waters of Zrmanja River canyon.
  • Walking the trails and enjoying a waterfall boat ride in world famous Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site.
  • Exploring the astonishing endemic subterranean world of Postojna Cave, Slovenia.

Accommodation type: Small 3*** hotels, camping huts and family-run guesthouses. Two or three beds per room.

Arrival airport: Dubrovnik, Croatia
Departure airport: Ljubljanja, Slovenia or Zagreb, Croatia

Arrival transfers: Arrivals are recommended by 6 PM. Transfers for arrivals after 6 PM are included, but you may miss the group dinner and orientation.

Departure transfers: You can book your flight from Ljubljana from 6 PM onwards and from Zagreb from 10 PM. There might be several group transfers between the destination and airport depending on flight departure time.

Maximum number of participants: 16 guests per group.

Minimum age: 12 years if accompanied by adult.

Child discount: 10%, valid for children of 12 years of age if accompanied by an adult. One child partaking in the discount shares the parent’s room; two or more children can have their own room.
Single use rooms are available upon request with a 20% surcharge. Sharing a twin room with another person is possible in case there are other guests interested in sharing.

This itinerary and the duration of the activities are subject to change due to group abilities and preferences, weather conditions and forecasts, water levels, special events of interest, etc. Wandertrail Tours guides, partners and trip leaders will do their utmost to ensure the best possible experience for their clients without compromising safety at any time.
